Cocoa (Chocolate) Plants

NURSERY

  • Basic fertilizer (NPK) is still applied as the dosage recommended.
  • Apply D.I. GROW Green fertilizer as leaf fertilizer every 2-3 weeks with a dosage of 3 cc/liters of water (2 lids of jerry can/1 spraying tank of 15 liters). Spray evenly on the leaves and the seed stem of the cacao.
  • The spraying activity is applied before 09.00 a.m. or after 04.00 p.m.
  • In case of pest/disease infection, D.I. GROW fertilizer may be applied in a mixture of pesticide/fungicide.
  • Green D.I. GROW required for each spraying per Ha is ± 1 liter.

IMMATURE PLANTS (IP)
  • Basic fertilizer (NPK) is still applied, yet reduced 30% of the dosage recommended.
  • Apply D.I. GROW Green fertilizer as leaf fertilizer every 2 months with a dosage of 3 cc/liters of water. Spray evenly on the leaves and stems of the cacao.
  • The spraying activity is applied before 09.00 a.m. or after 04.00 p.m.
  • In case of pest/disease infection, D.I. GROW fertilizer may be applied in a mixture of pesticide/fungicide.
  • Green D.I. GROW required for each spraying per Ha is ± 1.5-2 liters.

MATURE PLANTS (MP)
  • Basic fertilizer (NPK) is still applied, yet reduced 30% of the dosage recommended.
  • Apply D.I. GROW Red fertilizer as leaf fertilizer. D.I. GROW spraying is applied every 2-3 weeks with a dosage of 4 cc/liters of water. Spray evenly on the leaves, fruits and stems of the cacao.
  • The spraying activity is applied before 09.00 a.m. or after 04.00 p.m.
  • In case of pest/disease infection, D.I. GROW fertilizer may be applied in a mixture of pesticide/fungicide.
  • Green D.I. GROW required for each spraying per Ha is ± 1.5-2 liters.
  • When 80% of the cacaos have been harvested in a certain period of fruit season, apply one spraying using D.I. GROW Green with a dosage of 4 cc/liters of water, and then 2 weeks after that, apply one spraying using D.I. GROW Red again with a dosage of 4 cc/liters of water.
  • D.I. GROW FERTILIZER TESTING ON CACAO FRUIT Objective of Testing
  • Normalizing cacao fruit infected by Cacao Fruit Borers (CFB) which is characterized by the fruit is blackened and stoned.
Steps of Testing
  • Choose cacao tree whose fruit is 130 days old.
  • Dissolve 75 cc D.I. Red GROW into 15 liters of water (1 spraying tank).
  • Spray it on the stems, stalks, leaves and fruits found to be infected by CFB, evenly wet.
  • On the 15th day after the spraying, split the cacao fruit and it will be found that the fruit is not stoned anymore and the blackened fruit will be secured. Therefore, it is recommended to spray D.I. GROW on the cacao fruit infected by CFB, 15 days before being harvested.
